86 volunteers, plus 31,253 pounds of man-made debris, plus 2 abandoned houseboats equals 1 successful Renew Our Rivers cleanup. The four-day event included Barry Steam Plant employees, local volunteers and the City of Satsuma. Together, they cleaned an area covering roughly 15-20 miles on the Mobile River.
